Need an appointment? No problem!

Welcome back to the Spring 2012 semester!  Along with a new semester always comes changes, and we are excited to announce a change in our office–more advising appointments available!

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Starting the second week of the semester, the focus of our advising schedule will be on appointments, instead of walk-ins. We will still have some walk-in hours available for quick questions, but the majority of our time will be reserved for student appointments.
  • We’ll have a lot more appointment slots available for you to choose from! You’ll need to make an appointment at least one day ahead, but you’ll get a guaranteed 30 minutes with your advisor.
  • With the new emphasis on appointments, we ask that you please save walk-in times for very quick questions, as walk-ins will have to be 10 minutes or less. All detailed questions and future planning should be saved for an appointment time.
  • During the first week of classes, there will be no appointments. It will be all walk-ins all week so that we can be sure that everyone gets their questions answered quickly.

Along with the new appointment structure, we ask that you make an effort to meet with your assigned advisor instead of just whoever is available. We hope that this allows students and advisors to get to know each other better. If you’ve been seeing an advisor other than the one you are assigned to in mycuinfo, please feel free to ask to have your advisor officially changed. We won’t be offended!

We hope this change makes your advising experience a better one! We look forward to seeing you soon and let us know if you have any questions!  To make an appointment, call 303-492-6515.
